Winner of the 2009 Hillsborough County Planning Commission Community Design Award
The HARC Center is a 25,000 square-foot multi-use center containing administrative, classroom, therapy, and assembly spaces. The center doubles as the Egypt Lake Community Center, featuring a large meeting hall and senior center. Every aspect of the building provides an optimal learning environment, from the easy-access administrative spaces to the commercial kitchen designed to train clients for the workforce. The completed design is a cutting- edge facility for people with developmental disabilities. An assisted care facility for Alzheimer's patients is also onsite, providing 24-hour care for 6 clients on a permanent basis.
