Project Description
Located on historic Main Street in Pass-A-Grille, Florida, the Holloway is a condo/hotel development with retail on the first floor. The architectural design was based on historic research of a hotel that burned to the ground in the 1930s. rojo was presented with the challenge of designing guest parking while remaining in the historical context of the early 20th century. Parking was situated to the rear of the building to allow the streetscape to appear true to its historic roots. rojo also created large covered walkways and open retail spaces. As the project was fraught with zoning and historic preservation requirements, rojo also assisted in due diligence, feasibility and concept design, and attended public city meetings as needed.
